CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

“TRAIN up a child in the way he should go. Even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Beaverwood

Our primary objective for our children is to:

    • T – Teach
    • R – Reach
    • A – Affirm
    • I – Invest
    • N – Nurture

We have AWANA on Wednesday nights during the regular school year. We have Upward Sports (Basketball, Cheerleading and Soccer). And during the summer, we have Vacation Bible school.

Are you looking for somewhere to serve? How about the Children’s Ministry? Come serve in our Children’s Ministry and help impact the lives of our children for eternity!

Where and When:

Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm throughout the regular school year.

What is Awana?

Awana is a non-denominational bible-based program that fully integrates evangelism and discipleship for ages 2 through 17. It seeks to involve parents, church leaders and mentors in growing children towards Jesus Christ. The founders of Awana derived the AWANA name from the first letters of “Approved workmen are not ashamed” from 2 Timothy 2:15. To learn more about the history of Awana or for more information, click here. At BBC, children from toddlers to the 5th grade benefit from this program.

Our purpose:

To be a light house in Beaverdam meeting the spiritual needs of children and to lead them to trust Christ for salvation and grow them in enduring faith and service to God.

How can you get involved?

Give of your time. Email Paula Collins at paulacollins567@gmail.com with your desire to volunteer, or call the church and leave a message with your name, phone number, and desire to volunteer.

Upward Sports is a first-class sports experience that emphasizes healthy competition, sportsmanship, skills building and fun versus the “win at all cost” mentality.

Mission:

To promote the discovery of Jesus through sports.

History:

Upward was established in 1995 by the present founder and CEO, Caz McCaslin. His passion for reaching children and their families with the gospel through a world class sports experience is why Upward is the world’s largest Christian sports league for youth athletics. Today approximately half a million players participate in Upward recreation clinics, camps and leagues in 47 US states and 72 countries, hosted by over 2,500 church partners.

At BBC Upward:

We offer Spring and Fall Soccer and Winter Basketball with Cheerleading for ages 4 years old through 8th grade for both girls and boys.

How Can You Be Involved?

We are always in need of coaches, referees, assistant coaches, administrative support, prayer partners, concession volunteers, line painters, etc. It doesn’t take a lot of time. Practices are only one evening a week for an hour and games are always on Saturday mornings for an hour. Upward is a very family friendly league! We also accept corporate sponsorships and scholarships for those who are in need of assistance. Please email George Scott at gscott@jenkinsrestorations.com or call the church office and leave a message on how you would like to help with the best way to get in contact with you!
