MAXIMIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE
Our purpose and vision are integral to your ability to maximize your experience here at BBC. The vision that God has given us to grow people towards Him is also a process. It can be summarized in four words. Connect, Grow, Serve, and Lead.
Connect – Connect with God and others. Connect through Worship! There are many ways to Connect with BBC. One of the first ways is through our worship services. Our services are a celebration. We want to celebrate all that God is and all that He has done for us! We believe that there are many expressions of worship. You will see expressions of each of the following in our worship service: Singing (Ephesians 5:19), Giving (1 Corinthians 16:1-2), Commitment (Romans 12:1-2), Baptism (Romans 6:3-4), Praying (Psalms 95:6), Meditating (Habakkuk 2:20), Hearing God’s Word (John 17:17), Lord’s Supper (2 Corinthians 11:23-26). You will enjoy a celebration where you will walk away feeling inspired and prepared to further build up other followers of Christ. Join us at 10:45 am on Sunday mornings in the main sanctuary.
Grow – Grow in grace. 2 Peter 3:18 says, “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Further, Hebrews 6:1 says “let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity…” Both these verses, and many others, make it clear that we are expected to take a proactive role in our own spiritual growth. The best way you can do this is to join a Sunday School class. Click here to learn more about our Sunday School Small Groups.
Serve – Serve others while being served. Serve in a ministry! Matthew 20:28 says, “just as the Son of Man (Jesus) did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” In John 13:35, Jesus says, “by this shall men know that you are my disciples – that you have love for one another.” These verses remind us of what Christ did for us and the least we can do in return is to love others. Each of us are gifted with many kinds of special abilities (1 Corinthians 12:4-5,27), and we are to use those abilities to build up others and glorify our Father in heaven. At BBC, we do have pastors, but EVERY member is a minister. We believe that every task is important. Ask your Sunday School teacher to pray with you as you seek to serve God. Click here to learn where to, how to, and when to serve.
Lead – Lead others to Connect, Grow, and Serve. Share Jesus without fear. In Ephesians 3:10, the apostle Paul writes, “His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms…” When we receive the Good News of Jesus Christ, we can’t help but share it with others. In fact, we are commanded to do just that. Above and beyond The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), Romans 10:13-14 says, “for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” At BBC, we have Operation Andrew taking place all the time. Andrew was the brother of Simon Peter. Not much is said about Andrew except that he brought Peter to Jesus. We are called to do the same as we encourage others to come to church and experience Jesus Christ firsthand.
